To anyone who might chance upon these words, either from the far reaches of our galaxy or from the familiar warmth of a human settlement, I am Orion Lysander.

I was born under the rusty-red skies of Ares Prime, a bustling colony on Mars. My parents, both scientists, infused in me an unquenchable thirst for the unknown.

As I gazed upon the stars from our Martian habitat, I dreamt of the stories they held, the worlds they illuminated.

Yet, it wasn’t just the allure of the cosmos that propelled me into the vastness of space. It was also an attempt to distance myself from a heartbreak that had left its mark on my soul.

I am a planetary photographer by profession, but in truth, it’s more of a calling. My camera, the ‘Celestial Lens’, captures not just the physical beauty of the worlds I visit, but also the emotions they stir within me.

This diary, an old-fashioned leather-bound tome gifted by my mother, is where I pen down these emotions, these reflections.

Each entry is a piece of my soul, a chronicle of my journey both across the stars and within the depths of my own being.

This diary is not just a record of the planets I’ve seen or the wonders I’ve witnessed. It’s a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, the quest for healing, and the eternal hope that somewhere out there, amidst the cold expanse of space, there are answers to the questions that plague our hearts.

So, as you journey with me, know that you’re not just exploring distant worlds. You’re also traversing the intricate pathways of a heart that’s learning to love again, one planet at a time.

Till the next star, Orion
